Mysore Urban Planning and Development Authority (MUDA), constituted primarily to promote a well-planned urban development, provide quality urban infrastructure (social and physical), ensure quality of highest order in urban areas, preserve valuable natural and manmade heritage, make available cost-effective, energy efficient, environmental friendly and affordable housing using state of the art technologies. MUDA has a Draft Master Plan 2031 which aims to go in for satellite model of growth and planning to include 117 villages in Mysore, Nanjangud and Srirangapatna taluks. The core of the development plan is the zoning and spatial regulation map, setting the guidelines for urban land use in each of the zone. The scale of Mysore's zoning regulation map is to be determined with minor alterations and several large-scale systemic changes going by the remarks and objections received.
- Generation and updation of GIS database for MUDA region
- To develop and maintain a GIS Decision Support System Applications software in support of different MUDA activities
- To maintain and operate a modern MUDA-GIS facility within MUDA.
Summary Of Work
High resolution satellite imagery of the year 2013 has been procured from NRSC. Image processing of satellite data is completed. Section wise interaction to understand their functionalities and availability of data completed. DGPS survey for collecting ground control points (GCP’s) in the MUDA region is completed. Collection and organisation of existing spatial and other database is completed. Updation of MUDA GIS database is completed. Digitization of MUDA layout maps and development of MUDA GIS Apps have been completed.
